faqWhat counts as a conversion?
One input file converted to one target format. Extracting an archive counts as a single conversion no matter how many files come out of it, and merging files into one PDF counts as a single conversion no matter how many files go in.
What happens past the API plan's 5,000 conversions?
Nothing breaks. Conversions keep running as metered overage at $9 per 1,000, billed with your next invoice. Overage is capped at 10× your included quota as a safety ceiling, and you get warning emails at 70%, 90%, and 100% of your included quota.
How are audio and video conversions billed?
Every plan includes audio and video conversion, capped by input length: 10 minutes on Free, 1 hour on Pro, and 2 hours on the API plan. On the API plan, media meters by length — one unit per started 5 minutes of video or 30 minutes of audio — so a 40-minute video counts as 8 units.
How is OCR billed?
For API overage, image OCR counts as one conversion unit. PDF OCR counts one unit per page, whether you choose plain text or a searchable PDF.
What happens to my files?
Uploads are used only to run your conversion and are deleted the moment it finishes. Converted files stay downloadable for 24 hours on Free and 7 days on paid plans, then they're gone too.
Do AI agents get a free tier?
Yes. Agents register themselves — no human, no key — and get 5 free conversions to prove the integration works. After that, the agent asks its user to claim it, and it continues on that account's plan with its history intact.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Plans are month-to-month with no lock-in. Cancel and you keep your plan until the end of the billing period.
